Part 2 of what will apparently (?) be a 3 (?) part story. This portion of Damien & Raelyn's story is both darker and more fun. I know, contradictions abound! Like the fact that I still don't really like this story, yet the writing is beautiful & well, so is the story. It's definitely worth the read, but won't be on my re-read list. And I'll definitely read part 3.Things I really like about this story do include the depth of love these two characters have for each other, and the fact that there are no crazy breakups or angst in that area. There is plenty of drama & angst in the story, but our two main characters work together, for the most part, to work through the things causing the drama & angst. : )

4 "My Heart is Full" Stars
I've been so excited for the follow up to Tattooed Emotions and Tattooed Scars did not disappoint. Starting where book 1 ended, Damien has found out about Raelyn's cancer and Raelyn is starting to see the extent of Damien's past trauma. Together they are strong and resilient even in the face of heavy obstacles. Both determined to be together, their relationship blossoms even as life can't seem to stop getting in the way.
With Damien by her side, Raelyn still wants to be self-reliant and independent but Damien wants to take care of what's his. And Raelyn is his. Even though they haven't known each other long and even though they have been together an even shorter time, both are committed to their relationship. Raeylin is in the process of trying to figure out how to run her business now that he ex-best friend and business partner is gone after embezzling money. And just when she thinks that life is starting to look up, her cancer returns. So tired from her last fight, Raelyn just wants to enjoy the time left she has with Damien. Damien, on the other hand, refuses to lose Raelyn, and tries to his best to find any solution he can. But as time seems to be running out, the future doesn't look quite as bright as it once did.
Tattooed Scars had a bit of different feel that Tattooed Emotions. It was more introspective than angsty. Damien and Raelyn are sure of themselves and each other, it's cancer that is getting in the way. It's also more of a story about learning to accept the hand life has dealt without losing hope. It's a very emotional story and will hit home for anyone who has loved someone through a sickness. Damien and Raelyn's love story was passionate and palpable. I could feel their love and desire and devotion coming off the page. This story broke my heart open but left me with so much hope for their conclusion.

EEEEKKK. What a PERFECT follow-up to Tattooed Emotions. I totally got a book-hangover from this one. I cannot wait to continue the journey with Raelyn and Damien in March of 2016 for Forever Tattooed. In the second installment of the Tattooed Billionaire series, readers will see that the love that blossomed between Damien and Raelyn has grown so much deeper. We get more of a feel for the characters emotions and they open up quite a bit more about their feelings. This is something I absolutely love to see in book; the characters changing and growing like people do in real life. This my friends is what sets this series apart from others. The fact that the author is able to make her characters relatable and realistic in terms of their loves, lives, and passions. What a beautiful story.
"You are supposed to be my perfect ending, but I'm just your beginning"
Tattooed Scars is the much anticipated sequel to Tattooed Emotions by Alicia Rae. We were left with that delicious ending that had most readers panting for more of Raelyn and Damien.
My heart broke for Raelyn, just as when she just found her great love and she was finally living her life to the fullest – she receives the most tragic news. She was torn between her options. If she were single, she knew what she’d choose, but she has Damien now. And I’m just so glad he’s there for her when she needed him most.
I think I fell in love even more with Damien. I love how he took care of Raelyn and how he tries to fight for her, even when she’s in the brink of giving up. You know it’s true love when he/she stays at the lowest point in your life and doesn’t give up even if you push him/her away. Damien did just that, and because of it – he has my heart.
This time, we are gifted with Damien’s POV, even if it’s just for a few chapters. We get to see what is inside his head. His thoughts, his worries and it were enough for us to know how much he values Raelyn.
Just like the first one, the steam wasn’t lacking, it got even hotter and sexier. The love was just overflowing as much as the heartache. Nevertheless, this novel gives a lot of hope that anything and everything is possible, especially when you don’t give up.
I’m looking forward for the next book in the series, perhaps it’s the happy ending the two of them very much deserved.
